i have fredstone feet all of sudden. i was just at the dr today. i have had NO swelling whatsoever yet, and now when i crouch down, my legs feel like they are going to explode from the pressure. is this bad that it all came on suddenly?? i ate japanese today, which is salty, could this be why? it was also 90 degrees outside?? my legs are throbbing. i have my legs elevated right now, and when i bend my toes back and forth it’s like i can’t because they are so swollen. is this normal??

also i broke out with a fever blister, which i get whenever i am about to get sick, or from being in the sun, which i was all day yesterday. my dr gave me a prescrition for it, FAMVIR, but it doesn’t list swelling as a side effect.
i am 28 weeks
lol, i mean fred flin stone, but you knew that
i just got ahold of my aunt, who’s a RN, who said that it’s normal, because i was on my feet all day, i am a hair stylist, and that i will probably have this throughout the rest of the pregnancy……thanks for the answers though :)

Are your hands or face swollen as well or do you have a headache? I would call your doctor just in case. You always want to rule out preeclampsia.

Call your doctor..it sounds like you need to put your feet up and probably go in and get your blood pressure checked.

Doesn’t sound normal, make sure you are drinking plenty of water and keep doing what you are doing (keep your feet UP!) If it doesn’t start to get better in about an hour call your doc!

Get your feet elevated and start drinking lots of water. If this doesn’t help then I would call your dr. I had this happen after I took a trip to Arizona when I was 7 months pregnant. It got really bad and I nearly passed out. I couldn’t get ahold of midwife but that is a whole other story. There was a L&D nurse that went on this trip with me and she helped me get the swelling down and relax. I didn’t need the hospital at that point. But I don’t mess with sudden swelling like that. Drink alot of water and see if that helps and then call your dr. It’s just safer to do that.

    God Bless.
